What is Google Page Rank?

Hide Sidenotes

Page Rank is Google’s proprietary system for ranking webpages according to importance.
Google Page Rank 101

Consider Page Rank (PR) as your webpage’s grade, ranging from 1 to 10 with 10 as the highest. Google has an algorithm that computes for the ranking. The principle is simple: the more (quality and relevant) inbound links a webpage has, the higher its PR would be. Remember that Page Rank grades each page of your website. In this regard, the higher the PR of these webpages that link to yours, the better. Also, please take note that the more the outbound links of a webpage are, the less valuable it is.
